Industrial Compact Nitrogen Generator

Compact PSA Nitrogen Generator for SMEs – Plug-and-Play On-Site N₂ | nGENX by Absstem

Absstem’s nGENX is a compact, skid-mounted PSA nitrogen generator designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that need reliable on-site nitrogen without the installation complexity, civil work, and extended lead times of a full-scale system. nGENX arrives pre-assembled on a single skid – connect your air supply, power, and nitrogen outlet, and your on-site nitrogen generation begins.

Delivering 95%–99.90% nitrogen purity at 5–100 Nm³/hr, nGENX is ideal for food and beverage MAP packaging, small chemical and process plants, electronics SMT/reflow soldering, small laser cutting setups, automotive parts packaging, and oil & gas. IIoT-monitored*. 10-year Carbon Molecular Sieve performance warranty.

Need a larger nitrogen system for high-flow industrial applications above 100 Nm³/hr, higher purity up to 99.9995%, or multi-machine laser cutting? See nGEN – Absstem’s full-scale industrial nitrogen generator for medium and large manufacturing plants.

What is a Compact PSA Nitrogen Generator?

A compact PSA nitrogen generator is a self-contained, skid-mounted system that produces nitrogen on-site from atmospheric air using Pressure Swing Adsorption technology. Unlike full-scale custom-engineered PSA nitrogen plants, a compact system arrives pre-assembled – compressed air in, nitrogen out – with minimal site preparation and a significantly faster installation timeline.

nGENX is Absstem’s compact PSA nitrogen generator, built for SMEs and space-constrained installations where a custom-engineered full-scale plant would be oversized, over-priced, or over-complicated. nGENX eliminates cylinder deliveries and liquid nitrogen supply at a lower entry cost and faster payback than a full-scale system – while delivering the same IIoT monitoring* and 10-year CMS warranty that comes standard on every Absstem system.

For larger applications above 100 Nm³/hr, purity requirements above 99.90%, or multi-machine laser cutting at 15–40 bar, see nGEN – Absstem’s full-scale industrial PSA nitrogen generator.

How nGENX Works – From Air to Nitrogen in 4 Steps

Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) – Technology Behind nGEN

The Carbon Molecular Sieve is the core separation medium in every PSA nitrogen generator. CMS is a specially engineered form of activated carbon with a precisely controlled pore size distribution that enables it to separate oxygen from nitrogen by kinetic selectivity.

How CMS works: Under pressure, oxygen molecules (smaller, faster diffusing) preferentially enter CMS micropores and are retained. Nitrogen molecules (larger, slower diffusing) pass through the void spaces as product gas. When the CMS bed becomes saturated with oxygen, pressure is reduced (the ‘swing’), oxygen desorbs and vents to atmosphere, and the CMS bed regenerates – ready for the next adsorption cycle.

CMS performance determines maximum achievable purity (95-99.90%), energy consumption (air-to-nitrogen ratio), and long-term operating cost. Absstem’s nGENX uses premium-grade CMS with optimised pore structure for India’s operating conditions – backed by a 10-year CMS performance warranty. Absstem backs nGENX with a 10-year sieve warranty – The first Indian industrial PSA Nitrogen manufacturer that provides this.

The efficiency of the Nitrogen Plant is calculated based on the Air-to-Nitrogen Ratio. The better the efficiency, the lower the air-to-Nitrogen ratio. Through continuous R&D, Absstem commits to the best air-to-nitrogen ratio in the industry.
