At Absstem, we are committed towards continuous advancement and upgradation of adsorption technology, as we believe it holds huge transformative potential in the future of the gas separation industry. Our focus is on developing refined operational cycles and next generation adsorbents that can efficiently separate multiple gases from complex mixtures while ensuring minimal wastages and realize new possibilities for cleaner, more cost-effective gas production.

Reducing the Cost of Nitrogen Production

The basic working principle of any PSA technology is separating the required gas from atmospheric air. The effectiveness of any PSA system can be directly correlated to the volume of input air needed to generate the required output volume of Nitrogen gas. We are working on increasing nitrogen recovery from air by optimising the regeneration cycle in PSA systems. This initiative aims to cut nitrogen production costs by over 50% compared to traditional PSA methods by reducing nitrogen loss during regeneration by at least 50%.

Co-production of Nitrogen and Oxygen from a Single PSA System

Traditionally, PSA systems are designed to produce either nitrogen or oxygen. Since most of the industries use both these gases in their various applications, a single PSA system capable of producing both oxygen and nitrogen can lead to significant operational and commercial benefits to the customer. At Absstem, we’re innovating a process that allows for the simultaneous separation of nitrogen and oxygen from air using a single PSA system. This approach drastically reduces the specific power consumption and air factor required for producing both gases, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.

Carbon Dioxide Removal from Flue Gases and Ambient Air

In response to the growing need for climate action, we are developing adsorption-based carbon capture technologies to:

Remove CO₂ from industrial flue gases (Point Source Capture)
Capture CO₂ directly from the atmosphere (Direct Air Capture – DAC)

These efforts are part of our broader commitment to reducing global carbon emissions and contributing to a cleaner planet.
