Industrial Compact Nitrogen Generator

Compact PSA Nitrogen Generator for SMEs – Plug-and-Play On-Site N₂ | nGENX by Absstem

Absstem’s nGENX is a compact, skid-mounted PSA nitrogen generator designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that need reliable on-site nitrogen without the installation complexity, civil work, and extended lead times of a full-scale system. nGENX arrives pre-assembled on a single skid – connect your air supply, power, and nitrogen outlet, and your on-site nitrogen generation begins.

Delivering 95% to 99.9% nitrogen purity at 1 to 100 Nm³/hr, nGENX is ideal for food and beverage MAP packaging, small chemical and process plants, electronics SMT/reflow soldering, small laser cutting setups, automotive parts packaging, and oil & gas. IIoT-monitored. 10-year Carbon Molecular Sieve performance warranty.

Need a larger nitrogen system for high-flow industrial applications above 100 Nm³/hr, higher purity up to 99.9995%, or multi-machine laser cutting? See nGEN – Absstem’s full-scale industrial nitrogen generator for medium and large manufacturing plants.

What is a Compact PSA Nitrogen Generator?

A compact PSA nitrogen generator is a self-contained, skid-mounted system that produces nitrogen on-site from atmospheric air using Pressure Swing Adsorption technology. Unlike full-scale custom-engineered PSA nitrogen plants, a compact system arrives pre-assembled – compressed air in, nitrogen out – with minimal site preparation and a significantly faster installation timeline.

nGENX is Absstem’s compact PSA nitrogen generator, built for SMEs and space-constrained installations where a custom-engineered full-scale plant would be oversized, over-priced, or over-complicated. nGENX eliminates cylinder deliveries and liquid nitrogen supply at a lower entry cost and faster payback than a full-scale system – while delivering the same IIoT monitoring and 10-year CMS warranty that comes standard on every Absstem system.

For larger applications above 100 Nm³/hr, purity requirements above 99.9%, or multi-machine laser cutting at 15–40 bar, see nGEN – Absstem’s full-scale industrial PSA nitrogen generator.

How nGENX Works – From Air to Nitrogen in 4 Steps

compact nitrogen plant working

Air Intake and Filtration

Compressed air (from your existing compressor or nGENX-integrated unit) passes through multi-stage filtration to remove moisture, dust, and oil before entering the PSA module. Pre-treatment quality directly protects the Carbon Molecular Sieve.

PSA Nitrogen Separation

Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS): Dry, clean air enters twin CMS adsorber vessels. CMS selectively adsorbs oxygen by kinetic diffusion – oxygen molecules diffuse into CMS pores faster than nitrogen. Nitrogen passes through as 95%–99.9% product gas. Alternating adsorption/regeneration cycle = continuous uninterrupted output.

Nitrogen Buffer Tank & Delivery

Nitrogen stored in an integrated buffer tank and supplied at 5.5 barg directly to your process – MAP packaging machine, reflow oven, blister pack line, or lab equipment.

IIoT Monitoring & Auto Control

PLC automation monitors purity, pressure, flow, and CMS status. IIoT platform transmits data to Absstem engineers for remote diagnostics. Auto idle mode reduces electricity use during low-demand periods.

FAQs – nGENX Compact Nitrogen Generator

A compact PSA nitrogen generator is a skid-mounted, plug-and-play system that produces nitrogen on-site from atmospheric air using Carbon Molecular Sieves. It delivers 95%–99.9% purity nitrogen at 5–100 Nm³/hr with minimal civil work and fast installation – purpose-built for SMEs, food packaging, small chemical and process plants, electronics SMT/reflow soldering, small laser cutting setups, automotive parts packaging, and oil & gas. No cylinder deliveries, no PESO licence required.

nGENX is Absstem’s compact, skid-mounted, plug-and-play nitrogen generator for SMEs – 1 to 100 Nm³/hr, 95–99.9% purity, minimal civil work, faster installation. nGEN is Absstem’s full-scale industrial nitrogen generator for medium to large plants – Up to 3,000 Nm³/hr, 95–99.9995% purity, high-pressure booster option for laser cutting at 15–40 bar. If your flow requirement is above 100 Nm³/hr or you need purity above 99.9%, choose nGEN instead.

Yes – the terms are used interchangeably across the industry. Both refer to a system that produces nitrogen on-site from air using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. nGENX is a compact PSA nitrogen generator delivered on a single pre-assembled skid – suitable for SMEs and space-constrained installations.

nGENX delivers nitrogen purity from 95% up to 99.9%, with flow rates from 1 to 100 Nm³/hr, suitable for packaging, electronics, pharma, and light manufacturing.

Most nGENX installations are commissioned within 60 minutes. The system arrives pre-assembled on a skid – connect your compressed air supply, power, and nitrogen outlet. No complex civil work, no extended project timeline. Absstem’s engineers oversee commissioning and purity verification on-site.

Our nitrogen plants are designed to be space-efficient, energy-saving, and cost-effective, helping smaller businesses meet high-purity nitrogen requirements without heavy investment.

Routine nGENX maintenance: air filter replacement (monthly), compressor servicing (quarterly), desiccant dryer check (annually), IIoT-monitored CMS performance (continuous). The Carbon Molecular Sieve is performance-warranty  for 10 years. AMC and CMC available through Absstem Shield.
